Christopher Nolan, the master film maker, will be back with his movie in Summer 2017. The teaser to the World War II movie, Dunkirk, is short but it’ll stay with you for hours, if not days.
Dunkirk would be Christopher Nolan’s first film after Interstellar in 2014. It stars Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance. It also costars One Direction’s Harry Styles, Jack Lowden and Aneurin Barnard. Watch the teaser here.
The film tells the story of the famous Operation Dynamo – a retreat effort by 300,000 Allied troops surrounded by Nazis at the infamous Dunkirk port during World War II. Christopher Nolan himself wrote the story.
The trailer, slowly starts, on a sea shore filled with foams. A man walking alone to the waves. Dead bodies covered and lying. And then the boat scene. I am not spoiling anything. The visuals are super cryptic and the impact, well, unforgettable. It’s shot on 65 mm and IMAX film cameras.
The film is scheduled to be released on 19th July, 2017.
Just a reminder, it’s only August. There are 11 months to go, sadly.
