1. How do mosquitoes find their target?
They smell the carbon dioxide. Mosquitoes can find their target from as far as 5 meters by detecting the carbon dioxide exhaled by their victims.
2. Size Matters!
Since larger people exhale more Carbon dioxide, mosquitoes are more attracted to them. Therefore fat people and adults are more sucked out of their life essence than kids.
One more reason for not going to the gym!
At a closer range, mosquitoes find their target by smelling the lactic acid and other substances secreted through the sweat. Therefore, people who are working out or carrying heavy weights standout to the mosquitoes. Damn, these mosquitoes! I miss my gym, honestly.
3. Mosquitoes like beer!
Research suggest that people who have beer in their blood stream are liked exponentially more by Mosquitoes. It’s sad, I know.
Mosquitoes are more prone to bite pregnant women than anyone else. Cruel rascals!
5. Colour Preference
Mosquitoes find their target by using smell and vision. Wearing a stand out colour, like black, blue or red, might get you more attention from humans as well as mosquitoes.
6. Universal Donors Beware!
Mosquitoes like type O blood more than any other Blood group while type A blood is least liked.
